Craig Paterson, Founder and Chairman of Football Aid Trading Ltd and Field of Dreams. Craig previously held the post of Chairman and Chief Executive of Melville Craig Group, Scotland's leading Human Resources and Recruitment Group.David Dale, Executive Director, Football Aid Trading Ltd and Field of Dreams. David oversees full responsibility for Football Aid Trading Limited & Field of Dreams. David has extensive working experience in the football industry both in the UK and overseas, and at football clubs including Rangers FC - he comes with an excellent pedigree in the sports business field.
Roger Mitchell (Football Aid Trading Ltd) is a qualified CA and investment banker. Roger has extensive experience raising and managing capital in the public and private markets, including one of the first IPOs for a Chinese company on AIM. Roger has also operated in several multinationals at CFO/CEO level, mostly in the TMT, sports and entertainment industry, including EMI PLC. In 1998 Roger set up and led the Scottish Premier League, the leading sports organization in the country. He represented Scotland on the prestigious UEFA Professional Football Committee and International Football League Board. As well as running his own sports & media investment firm, Albachiara SAGL based in Switzerland, Roger holds a selection of NED and advisory roles internationally.
John Murray (Football Aid Trading Ltd) is a well-known Glasgow businessman and successful IFA entrepreneur. Has acted as a sports media consultant and brings a wealth of contacts and insider knowledge to the organisation.
Graeme Bissett (Field of Dreams and Football Aid Trading Ltd) joined the Board in 2008. Graeme has considerable financial experience, having previously been the finance director of Kwik-Fit plc. Prior to this he was a partner with Arthur Andersen. Graeme is currently chairman or non-executive director of a number of private companies and is a member of Court and Convenor of the Finance Committee at Heriot-Watt University.
John Kennedy (Football Aid Trading Ltd) joined the board in 2010 and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. Regarded by many as one of the most promising players of his generation, John was a product of the Celtic FC youth system and made his first team debut during the 1999/2000 season. However, unfortunately John had to retire from the game on 13 November 2009, having failed to fully recover from a serious knee injury that he sustained on his Scotland debut in March 2004. John now works for Celtic FC as a scout and we are confident his knowledge and contacts within the game will ensure he becomes a great asset to Football Aid.
Jonathan Paterson (Football Aid Trading Ltd) is the son of Football Aid Trading Ltd and Field of Dreams founder Craig Paterson and he joined the board in July 2010. He is currently based in America where he is studying for his Master of Entertainment Industry Management at Carnegie Mellon University. He has worked with the Football Aid events team over the past four years and has built a strong rapport with many of the charity's participants and supporters over the years. He joins the board full of energy and excited to help take the charity on to the next level.
Jae Chalfin (Football Aid Trading Ltd) founded Sports New Media with the foresight to see that the power within football would ultimately rest with the players and the way to reach mass audiences was via digital. "As an entrepreneur I am always looking to explore new ways in connecting to the elusive sports fan in digital media."
Daniel Geey (Football Aid Trading Ltd) is an Associate at Field Fisher Waterhouse in the Competition and EU Regulatory Law Group. Daniel has advised on a number of international, multi-jurisdictional cartel investigations as well as follow-on civil damages actions. Daniel also advises clients in the football industry. Such guidance has included advice on the Fit and Proper Person Test, parachute payments and the football creditors rule, disclosure obligations under the relevant football authority's rules, conflicts of interest and third party player ownership contracts. Daniel has also provided guidance on UEFA Financial Fair Play, and has also given briefings and spoken at workshops and conferences on the interplay between Competition Law, Football and Broadcasting.
Daniel also specialises in the technology & communications and media & entertainment sectors. Daniel writes various articles for competition, media and sports law journals. Topics include the Premier League’s exclusive and collective television deal, Premier League rules and regulations and the broadcasting of listed sporting events. Daniel is the editor of a monthly legal football column called On the Ball at football Aid.com which is a more informal take on legal issues in the football industry.
