CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Coventry City joined the Football Aid family in 2001, and continued to host events until 2004, when our fans got the chance to say an emotional goodbye to Highfield Road. Legends involved in those early games included David Busst and Craig Shakespeare. Saturday 5th May 2007 was an equally important day for Football Aid, marking the return of the club to the fold and our debut at the magnificent Ricoh Arena. We've been extremely lucky to have had some fantastic legends involved in the matches at the Ricoh Arena recently, with David Busst making a return appearance and Dave Bennett, Tommy Hutchison and Cyrille Regis also all playing.

SEASON 2012 UPDATE

We have been informed that due to the Olympics football tournament matches taking place at the City of Coventry stadium from 26th July 2012, that unfortunately we won't be able to host a Football Aid game with the club this season. However we do remain hopeful that we might be able to host another event in association with the club in the future.
