CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

The first Football Aid game at Pittodrie kicked off on the 17th May 2001 with tough tackling Doug Rougvie and Gothenburg hero John Hewitt starting what was to become a long running Football Aid rivalry. Over the years, the likes of Neil Simpson and Jim Bett have taken part in the highly competitive games while Scotland Hall of Famer and firm fans favourite Willie Miller came onboard as the Club's Ambassador in 2006.

RECENT EVENT UPDATE

Due to the extensive use of the Pittodrie pitch in season 2007/08, the Club's end of season pitch schedule had to be severely curtailed. Unfortunately that meant the club were not able to participate in the Football Aid 2008 programme of events. However we remain hopeful that we will be able to host another Football Aid event in association with the Club in the near future.
