CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Club Ambassador John Hendrie made his Football Aid debut in 2005 as the playing Legend for the 'Away' team. Hendrie seemed every bit as overwhelmed by his return to The Riverside as the rest of our participants, charging into the Home dressing room at half time by mistake! The prolific striker became a Football Aid Ambassador the following year and fellow Boro heroes Steve Vickers, Curtis Fleming, Robbie Mustoe, Mark Proctor, Lennie Lawrence and local radio celebrity Bernie Slaven have all joined him by taking part in our lively events at The Riverside up until 2008.

AVAILABILITY FOR SEASON 2012

Unfortunately due to alternative end of season pitch commitments Middlesbrough FC have not been able to confirm their participation in recent seasons. However the club remain supporters of our organisation and we do intend to discuss the possibility of them hosting a match in the near future.
