The Hammers signed up with Football Aid in 2002 and due to an increase in popularity we now host two games at The Boleyn Ground (Upton Park) each year. Club Legends that have been on hand to encourage our lucky players have included the likes of Ray Stewart, Tony Cottee, Paul Brush, George Parris, Tony Gale, Alan McKnight, Mark Robson and Steve Potts. The famous ground also hosted our first ever 'Celebrity Live the Dream' event in 2005, when a Football Aid 'All Stars' side tried their luck against a formidable Celebrity team featuring the likes of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), WBO boxing champion Colin McMillan, ABA boxing champion Tony Cesay, dub poet Benjamin Zephaniah and Glen Murphy (London's Burning), with the celeb team coming out on top on the night.
