CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Sheffield Wednesday joined the Football Aid family in 2001 and have continued to host highly successful events at Hillsborough ever since. The list of Legends that have turned out to play in our games since includes John Sheridan, Phil King, John Pearson, Lawrie Madden, Mel Sterland, Terry Curran and Mark Smith. A real treat was in store for our players in the 2007 game at Hillsborough, as the first team coaching staff were on hand to put our players through their paces, current boss Brian Laws playing for and managing the Home team with his assistant Russ Wilcox doing the honours for the Away side.
