CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

The Owls joined the Football Aid family in 2001 and have continued to host highly successful events at Hillsborough ever since. The list of Legends that have turned out to play over the years includes David Hirst, John Sheridan, Phil King, John Pearson, Lawrie Madden, Chris Turner, Mel Sterland, Greg Fee, Dave Reeves, Terry Curran and Mark Smith. A real treat was in store for our players in the 2007 game at Hillsborough, as the first team Management Team at the time were on hand to put our players through their paces, with boss Brian Laws playing for the Home team and his assistant Russ Wilcox doing the honours for the Away side.
