CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

On the 4th May 2001, the first ever Football Aid event kicked off at The Dell in Southampton with legends Jimmy Case and Mark Dennis captaining the two enthusiastic sides. It was a spectacular start to our first season of games - with the Away team romping home to an 8-1 victory! - and by the end of the month, 47 games had taken place in 45 Clubs across the UK involving over 1200 players, 263 goals and controversially 1 red card! In the intervening years, our matches have made the move to the impressive St Mary's Stadium and have continued to feature a host of Saints greats with the likes of Francis Benali, Jason Dodd, Gordon Watson, John Sydenham, Reuben Agboola, Dave Puckett, and Ian Juryeff all showing their support.
