CLUB HISTORY & BACKGROUND

Watford were part of the first full season of Football Aid Events in 2001, that game featuring two of the Club's biggest names all-time goal-scorer Luther Blissett and former Manager Kenny Jackett. That had been the only Football Aid match at Vicarage Road to date, until season 2008 saw the Club return to the fold with an extremely exciting match which saw the Away team prevailing by a penalty shoot out. Club legend Jimmy Gilligan lent his support as Manager to both teams on the night and we look forward to continuing our relationship in 2009.
