Football Aid Launches The Wales International Match 2009

Football Aid is delighted to announce it’s first ‘EVER ‘Live the Dream’ event at the Millennium Stadium on Thursday 2nd April 2009.

The Wales International Challenge Match will see fans of The Dragons pulling on the red jersey and pitching their skills against a Rest of the World fans team at the home of Welsh Football.

Fans of the beautiful game will gain exclusive access to the official match day changing rooms, change into their fully personalised strip and then run down the tunnel to the sound of the crowd to play an adrenaline fuelled 90 minute game on their Field of Dreams.

To top the day off, the event will be graced by former Welsh Internationals, who will help to guide fans on their national debut. Football Aid’s Executive Director, David Dale said: “We are delighted to be adding this event to our schedule for what is sure to be a truly magnificent occasion at the Millennium Stadium, allowing fans the opportunity to ‘Live The Dream’ at one of footballs finest arenas.”

As with our other events all funds generated from the game are split between fantastic charitable causes including Football Aid’s parent charity, Field of Dreams, which helps to raise money, education and awareness for Type 1 Diabetes.

So whether fans strike the ball like like Saunders and Rush, command the midfield like Speed, or have a ‘safe pair of hands’ like Southall, there really is a position for everyone to become the Millennium Stadium’s newest hero!
