Tony Morley
Football Aid are delighted to announce the signing of wing wizard, Tony Morley as Aston Villa's Ambassador. Famed for scoring spectacular goals (in particular a cracker against Everton at Goodison Park which won him the 'Goal of the Season' award for 1980-1), Morley enjoyed the best days of his career at Villa Park racking up 170(+10 as sub) appearances and 34 goals.
As well as playing a vital role in the Villa side that won the League Championship in 1980-1, Morley won six caps for England, making his debut in the crucial World Cup qualifier against Hungary at Wembley in November of 81.
The ‘flying blond winger' is now a regular on the 'Villa Old Stars' circuit and also provides colourful commentary for radio broadcasts on the Official Aston Villa FC Website.
